I have a floor model jewelry armoire in my bedroom that a friend of mine absolutely adores. She said she has all of her jewelry in her dresser drawer and she needed something to organize it. I needed to buy her a gift, but the jewelry armoires cost hundreds and that wasn’t an option. I found this “little black dress” on amazon and ordered it. I was skeptical before ordering because it said the shipping would be a few weeks, but I actually got it two days later. I’m not sure if that is because of being a Prime member or not, but I was happy that I didn’t have to wait. All of the pockets are about 6″ wide and 3″ deep, which is kind of small for the clunky jewelry that my friend wears, but it would be perfect for the kind I wear. However, the velcro tabs on the back should accomodate all of her clunky items and the pockets should do well for the rest. That’s why I chose this one for her as opposed to the ones with pockets on both sides. The hanger has a swivel head so that should make it easier for her to switch from front to back. It’s pretty heavy already, so once it’s full and heavier, I’m afraid that the head of the hanger might break because it doesn’t seem too sturdy. We shall see. I will order one for myself and a few as gifts for other friends. It makes it really easy to see the jewelry, whereas my armoire requires me to sift through to find things. I will update once she gets the gift and starts using it for a while to let you know if my fear of it breaking was just my worry or not.
