After searching for the perfect valet for my husband, I found this and was very excited. Based on the other reviews I was slightly leery of the quality of the valet, but, once received, all worries were put aside. The bottom of the valet is lined as well as the insides of the drawers, and the whole thing is more solid than I expected. I was expecting something with a thing covering of “nice wood” over a cheaper wood. The only ‘problem’ I could foresee is the roll top. It needs a little ‘greasing’ to help it glide, so I will probably use some beeswax or something wood safe for that. My only ‘complaint’ is that the box had a picture and description on all sides. Not so good when it is a Christmas present. All in all, I am extremely satisfied.
