When I was going to order this music box, some of the reviews were discouraging, but I ignored them and bought it anyway. I was pleasantly surprised! I expected a cheap, small toy, but it’s actually really nice! It’s big enough to fit a large digital camera inside, which is perfect for children’s costume jewelry. I loved that the inside was purple velvet, it looked right. The small mirror was a nice touch, too. The song is really cute, “Home On The Range”, but it just plays the verse and not the chorus, but I don’t mind. It’s actually pretty loud, but it sounds good. Arrived in a cute package, too. I am really glad I bought this (even though I bought it to put my 6 month old son to sleep! lol). I think I might buy another for my 12 year old sister-in-law. She loves horses, and she loves jewelry, so it’s perfect. The only complaint I have with this item is that the horse that spins when you open it was glued to the spring…with a LOT of glue, which is visible. But it’s just a minor detail. I would recommend for a girl (or to put a baby to sleep!) Also, one review I read said it was made of “cardboard”? It is definitely not, just thought I’d mention that. I don’t think an adult would like this jewelry box because it doesn’t have any drawers or anywhere to hang necklaces so they don’t get tangled, but it is great for a kid. Thanks amazon!
